I can't get the tv to power on using the remote or the power button on the tv. It doesn't look like any power is coming to the one connect box as well. I've tried all of the troubleshooting that I've found on youtube. Unplugging the power, pressing the power button, unplugging the one connect cable. My outlet is working fine. There isn't a red light showing its in standby mode. There just isn't any power to the box or to the tv.

I can definitely understand how frustrating that is and am delighted to assist you! Check out these troubleshooting steps and see if they work out fo ryou:

  1. Without using the remote, press any button on your TV except the Power button.

Most newer TVs have buttons on the back right side. Without using the remote, press any button except the Power button. If anything appears on screen, this confirms your TV is on. You can continue troubleshooting in our guide for TV has no picture or a black screen.

If the TV's controls cause something to appear on the screen but the remote doesn't, then make sure to also troubleshoot your remote.

  2. Unplug the TV for 30 seconds.

The next thing to rule out is a power issue. Unplug the TV and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds.

  3. Plug the TV into a working outlet.

Next, plug the TV back in, using an outlet you know works (you can test the outlet with another device, like a lamp). (Please make sure your TV is NOT plugged into a surge protector.)

If the red standby light comes on (and doesn't flash or blink), your TV is receiving power and will probably turn on now. This means there is an issue with the original outlet, or the surge protector if you were using one.

If the TV still doesn't turn on even though the red standby light is now on, continue troubleshooting in the section, the red standby light is on.

    TV plug connected

  4. Request service if the standby light is still out.
