I got an email that said: Beginning on 2021-06-30, Gallery Sync and Drive storage for My Files will no longer be supported by Samsung Cloud and your data will be deleted. They are moving to Onedrive. This is actually good news, as long as I can still use my own pictures for the Ambient mode? I got on support with Samsung to ask, but the support rep had no clue. Does anyone know if they will be keeping the picture gallery support in onedrive?
I just purchased a TU8000 for my living area, and Ambient Mode was one of the features that swayed my decision. I get that Samsung made a business decision to wind down their cloud service, but does that mean a user who bought a brand new TV last week is being abandoned, and the TV's feature set is being degraded? Why can't I select OneDrive as the source of a photo album? Why can't I select a USB drive plugged into the back of the TV?
Allow use of USB and OneDrive prior to cloud closure.
Samsung TVs are nice but what made it my choice was the Ambient mode with MY choices of images. (Was hugely disappointed already this mode didn’t allow USB but only online source).
