I recently bought a 32 inch and a 65 inch Frame tv. Was able to set up both with no problem. However, when I go into the art mode in the 32 inch, I noticed that there is no motion detection setting. So what happens is now when the light in the room turns off, the art turns off, but the tv doesn't come back on when the light turns on.
This setting exists in the 65 inch and I don't experience the same problems there. Any ideas?

I just got the 32 inch frame TV (2020) and am also having the same issue.
No motion detection setting. And when the TV turns off (ie. in the dark) it doesn't come back on into Art mode unless I manually do it from the remote...

Me too. Any help welcome.

I'm having the same issue with a new 55" 2020 model I bought and it's quite disheartening :/. The motion detector clearly works, otherwise it wouldn't turn off the tv when I leave the room, but it fails to turn the TV back on when I come back.

Good morning
having had this issue and been on voice and video calls with Samsung for 2 weeks I can deliver the bad but no doubt surprising news. The 32inch 'the frame' does not have a sensor that allows the art to come on and off by motion...
... I can hear you thinking.. hang on.. that cannot be true! You probably were sold the idea that it does, didn't see any marketing to say it doesn't and maybe like me feel a tad 'miss sold'
we purchased our 32inch for the bedroom from John Lewis and having got it home noticed the art mode was not switching on and off by motion. I first called Samsung in October 2020 to ask how to fix this.. 4 Samsung representatives and multiple calls later over nearly 2 weeks (and yes they knew it was a 32inch) I got told ... oh we are very sorry, the 32inch does not have the same sensors as the other sizes. Funny that, as they had on each call tried to fix my issue... Samsung should be ashamed at not just miss selling and poor training (the John Lewis sales assistant also the Samsung specialist) but also absolutely shocking after sales service. Rant over.. we are putting our thoughts to Samsung in writing .. although based on their response to us so far we don't expect to get anything back anytime soon. I have the log of calls on my phone showing the wasted hours on this subject.

Ps .. for those with larger sizes 43 inch and above Try a reset. Try to see if the sensor is pulled down. Make sure it's not blocked (furniture too close etc) Try settings, general, eco motion... may not work but worth a go. Just some of the things samsung asked us to do despite it being pointless because.. oh.. ours doesn't have that sensor ....

Same problem with our 32". Took me hours to figure out that...gee...they decided a smaller size Frame doesn't need it????

That is weird, because if you read Samsung's official "The Frame (32'') TV" Spec sheet (https://image-us.samsung.com/SamsungUS/samsung/us/tvs/The-Frame-32-Inch-Spec-Sheet-032020.pdf), it clearly states under "THE FRAME SERVICE"/"Art Mode" that:
"Activate the built-in motion sensor so whenever you walk into the room, your TV displays one of your favorite selections."

This is crazy - I am finding this same problem.
It's the basic functionality that the frame needs. Is it really that it doesn't have the sensors? Or a software issue?
Either way, Samsung are misselling, as you say - how does this get escalated?

Hey
i find it crazy that the 32 inch doesn't have a motion sensor .. especially the 2020 version. It's a fundamental feature ..
Anyways my work round is set up an Alexa routine with a hue motion sensor.. now when I walk into the room my 32 inch 2020 frame tv switches on.
