As some of you might know the Q80R was recently update to version 1372 that enables the HDMI 2.1 port on the one connect box on input HDMI 4.
You can read more about it here: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Qled-and-Frame/Update-1372-2-for-Q80r-Q90R-2019-QLED-TVs-EArc-in...
Now the real problem. It can't output 4K@120 on the PS5. It does work on the Xbox Series X.
When the PS5 can output at 4K@120 to the TV it's clearly stated in the menus as you can see in this video here at the 2:03 mark: https://youtu.be/g5VFxbMP3qw
For some reason this does not work on the PS5 but is fine in the Xbox Series X. Can we expect an update from Samsung or Sony?
Edit: Samsung has updated the manual for the Q80R: https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/202011/20201116134027110/MUSATSCR-5.1.1_EM_MUSE_USA_EN...
it clearly shows tha one connect models do indeed support 4K@120.
Manual page stating support for 4K@120

It's a lie I have Q80r with one connect and I have the the series even though it shows you that 4k@120 is possible it really does not i've tired cold war and warzone with 4k 120 and its just not there but at 1440p you can clearly see the smoothness of 120hz

We will get it soon through a patch from Sony as the problem seems to be from their software. Let's have some patience

I also hv a Q80R and firmware has been update as 1372.2 while plug my PS5 in the HDMI4, in the display menu of PS5, it can only detect the best 4k 60hz, the 4k 120hz has not appeared like the one shown on above YouTube. Understood the TV is 8k OLED in the video, still, was expected the update of firmware will allow port 4 become HDMI 2.1 and 4k 120hz should be available. If XBOX can, hard to understand why PS5 cannot......

Yes but the issue is its not possible to do 4k@120 Q80r one connect dosent even have hdmi 2.1 I've tried playing warzone on series x with the Q80r though it shows 119hz it's definitely dosent feel like it he'll 1440p is where you feel 120hz is actually being implemented, besides isn't hdmi 2.1 a hardware upgrade how can it be enabled through a software update

You don't need HDMI 2.1 to do 4K120. Q80R (with one connect box) and Q90R have 24Gbps on port 4 vs 18Gbps on ports 1-3. 24Gbps is enough for 4K120 YUV 4:2:0 HDR.

So do I need to change or enable somthing on my xbox or tv settings or leave it as it is

It's not a lie.
There are currently no games that can do 4K@120 in any new console. That's why CoD drops the resolution when you switch to 120Hz mode, it can't do 120 FPS at 4K.
The problem is that if any of those are released then it won't be possible to have 4k@120 on the PS5 while it'll be no problem for the XSX.

Not true, I do 4K120 on my PS5, only HDR is lacking currently. My XBX can do 4K120 with HDR. I can also do VRR with the XBX but the gamma looks way off on the Q90T... waiting for an update that hopefully fixes the issue.

For games that can even achieve 4K/120Hz/HDR, the lack of VRR on PS5 (which is supposed to be patched later) is also probably limiting right now, since Vsync is heavy.
