Q90t game mode local dimming is broken

When the q90t is set to game mode. The local dimming is not even 10% of what it is when game mode is off. Dark areas look blue. I know warzone is very popular now so I will use it as an example. The gunsmith area and intro loading screens look completely blue when in game mode. Toggling game mode off and you will have a hard time finding blooming at all. Changing local dimming to low to standard just increases brightness without actually getting darker. High is the same as standard. This is absolutely ridiculous when the Sony 900h has its full local dimming capabilities in game mode. This tv is nearly double the price. It is inexcusable. There is no reason why local dimming should not work the same way in game mode as it does outside game mode.

EDIT: I have posted pics that represent what I see fairly accurately. It's incredibly bad in a darker room. I took the photos that best matched what I see and focus the camera in the same area. It is accurate to what I see and anyone who has this tv can try it themselves.

Both game mode on and off had the same exact picture settings. Same contrast, same brightness, same gamma, and same shadow detail. Game motion plus is off. Turning it on doesn't matter. Local dimming in game mode is on standard because it's actually worse on high by just adding brightness so there is more bleeding. The game mode off had local dimming on high. Those are how they were set up.

I had an issue with turning game mode on and after I was done and turned it off anything I played (movie or game) that has HDR would get crazy dimm. Had to reset the tv and it was fine... But when tried again with game mode same thing happened. So another factory reset. I haven't touched game mode since just to avoid having to reset. I've saved for so long to get an awesome flagship tv so I'm a little disappointed. Samsung please keep updating and fix these issues.

An update, issue still persists.  I'm just replying so this thread stays at the top of the list till samsung decides to engage with us, or at least acknowledge the existence of the game mode problems.

With the new update 1301.5 I'm having a dimming issue when playing HDR movies with subtitles on , every time the subtitles come the entire screen gets dimmer and when the subtitles disappear it turns brighter again. If you have 4K  Netflix you can try this playing OMNISCIENT episode 1 at 27:20 minute is very noticeable there . Samsung has to resolve this they are taking to long. There have to be some government agency that protects consumers from problems like this

So I did some experimenting and found that I can duplicate what you are saying when I use the Netflix app on the tv. When I watch it on my Apple TV 4K it doesn't do that. It might be a problem with the app itself on the tv.

I have the Q90T but haven't played around with Game Mode yet since my TV is used mainly for streaming.

Once you turn Game Mode On, how quickly does the entire screen become dim? I'm assuming you guys are seeing it during gameplay with your game console?

It seems to happen anywhere from 5 minutes all the way to an hour or 2 before dimming so it's completely random at least for me, I know it's not the eco settings, I have them and all dynamic enhancement settings (shadows, contrast ect.) off. The actual stuff on screen will be well lit or brightly colored so it's not glitching out from a dark scene. Seems to be worse with my switch then my xbox. I was playing MODERN Warfare and it happened mid game, I could tell it happened but just barely (maybe dipping 1-5 notches) , but when playing Animal crossing it will severely dip in brightness (10-15 notches). They really need to fix this issue. Gaming features are a huge selling point for a lot of people. Gamemode performance for next gen was the ONLY reason I got this TV and it turns out to be annoying and flawed. Worst buyers remorse I've ever had.

I have the 75Q800T, similar issues with the Dimming are present for me when playing games disregarding if I play them In Game Mode or Movie Mode, the screen dims down by itself on random ocasions between 5mins to several hours...

Here is a similar issue from the EU forum confirmed for the Q80, Q90, Q800T

Wow UK support responded right away over there. Nice to see that the states aren't alone with this issue.
