Qled and FrameMy tv is brandnew. When i am connected to my xbox one x. Every 4-6 of use i will see the screen flash intermittently and back to normal. It happpens sooooo fast. I have tried two different xbox one x units. Both outputing at 4k 60z. 10bit. I have tried two different brandnew hdmi cables designed specifically for the one x. I have tried different ports on the one connect.
What do you guys think this is? Audio does not get interrupted.
I plan on testing to see if the powerstrip/surge protector i am using is bad. I ordered a very expensive surge protector with filter to reduce noise. I am planning on turning off uhd hdr. I plan on testing the xbox at 1080p and then testing my old xbox one . This will probably all take a week at least cause its very hard to replicate the flash

Qled and FrameHi
I've been suffering white flashes during scene transitions and have done some troubleshooting, a shame Samsung hasn't.
The flashes only happen when:
Picture mode = Movie
Auto Motion Plus Settings are on with Judder and Blur settings set to 1 or higher.
Could it be that some people have a replacement One Box and haven't set it to Movie mode as their original box and so they had no flashes and think it was cured? Some people have reported the flashes start again, but that could be because they have later reapplied their favourite setings?
So after lots of testing I've found if I set the Picture mode to Natural, then make the same picture adjustments that Movie mode applies under Expert picture settings, I get an identical picture to the Movie picture mode, but no flashes. Switch back to Movie mode, and it starts the white frame flashes again.
So Samsung, please get your firmware guys to see what is different with the Movie picture mode, and test in that mode with Auto motion settings enabled, at some point you will find footage that causes the white flashes at scene changes.
Regards
Phil

Qled and FrameI don’t get them during scene transition. Mine happen randomly at anytime. They are either white or different color flashes. Happens with movie mode and HDR + mode. New one connect box, cables and new main board didn’t do anything. So far, nothing has fixed it

Qled and FrameThat’s the first thing we all tried when this problem first occurred. I tried Rocketfish cables as well as the cable that comes with the consoles. Not a cable issue

Qled and FrameHi
Sounds like a different bug then with the TV, mine only happens at scene transitions which quickly gets very annoying as some scenes will trigger it a lot, it isn't cable related as it happens from the TVs own tuner. At least using a different picture mode stops it, however the picture is still more processed than in Movie mode so isn't as good for some things.
Samsung TVs just seem full of bugs, this is my first Samsung TV and definately the last. It doesn't matter how good the picture is if there all sorts of artefacts and bugs ruining the enjoyment of watching something. Never had a TV with as many bugs as this one and no fixes forthcoming in firmware.

Qled and FrameYeah I think you’re experiencing the same problem but in a different way. I’m sure it’s all the same problem with Samsung’s firmware. I’m holding off just a little more in case the tech I’m working with comes up with a fix. Otherwise I’m going to be picking up a Sony or an LG. Either way, this will be my last Samsung

Qled and FrameThis is exactly what I see with QN55Q7FAMFXZA ( 55 inch 2017 QLED ). Mod's we need a fix. Sometimes see a white, red or green flash with TiVo Bolt+.

Qled and FrameJust like every other firmware, seems to solve the issue for a couple of days and then back to getting flashes again. Of course it’s so random, I could just be missing it for a few days.
I’ve been contacted directly by QA software engineers from posting here and they’ve admitted that numerous 2017 models have displayed the issue and that service techs likely wouldn’t be able to do anything for it.
Havent gone the service route yet cuz they keep telling me I’ll have to pay for the visit if the tech can’t repair or reproduce the issue which is just ludicrous with such a random problem.
I’m going to initiate a letter writing campaign insisting they swap out for a 2018 model of this continues. Know that’s a long shot but I only have a few months left in my warranty.
Absolutely unacceptable. Never buying another Samsung product and warning everyone I know to do the same unless Samsung bends over backwards to make this right!
