There seems to be a bug on the 2020 T Series TVs like the Q90T, Q80T etc..

It is a strange stutter/judder where it looks like frames drop all of a sudden then it speeds up then will stutter again. It’s most noticable when camera isn’t moving too much such as when interviewing a player or watching a game show.

All processing is off. I have tried turning judder reductions etc on at various levels but nothing helps.
It seems like there is a motion processing bug/glitch that could be fixed with a firmware update.

Is anyone else suffering from this? Not sure is it is a deinterlacing or hz processing bug.
We originally thought it was on 50hz content, but someone from US says they are having this issue too, so it would also be 60hz content too as you guys use 60hz.

It is well known over at the UK forums as seen here: Q90T stutter -50p/hz

Or EU Samsung Forums: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/tv/q90t-stutter-frame-rate-slowdown-50hz-content/td-p/2006495

Or the US forums: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/samsung-2020-t-series-tv-motion-judder-stutter-frame-rate-firmware-...

There are 49 pages of Samsung 2020 QLED Seriers TV Motion/Judder/Stutter/Frame Rate(Firmware Bug/Glitch) on the avforums. I wish i would have read those forums before i bought this TV. The only work around is setting your TV to game mode. Which in turn makes the picture not so desireable. How can so many people have this issue and it not be fixed. Is it unfixable. I am seriously thinking of returning this TV.

I'm having this issue with my new 55in Q90T on 60Hz content as well. The stuttering can get very bad and makes it unwatchable. Game Mode seems fix the stuttering for the most part but motion can still seem a little jerky and you can't turn on the motion settings without the stutter coming back.

Not sure if I just got a bad set or whether it's a bug for the whole line. It doesn't seem like people on the AVS forum thread had luck when they had a repair person out to look at it so probably not worth going through that process. This is a major issue and I'm likely going to have to return the TV due to it which is a shame.

I've been going thru this with Samsung for a couple of months.   Seems the software for the whole T series 2020 QLED TVs is where the issue lies.  If you can return the set, I'd suggest you do so.  If unable to return the set, start a support call with Samsung and hopefully Samsung can provide you a satisfactory resolution.

Top work Samsung with the new FW 1460.9.

I have a GQ65Q80T and now the ARC does not work anymore.

With the previous FW was all good on my side.

I had the same problem with my q80t. I live in the  US ao its definitely not a 50hz issue like you said. My brother has the q60t and lives in another state with different cable and has the issue as well. You describe it well. For American Football the beginning of each play starts with a blur and smoothes out to keep it simple describing. Have seen it on golf and news broadcasts as well. I returned mine for a Sony x950h which I love and has no such problems. Hope they get it fixed for you guys, what a shame.

How are you liking the x950h?  I'm in the same boat and I'm close to pulling the trigger on x950h.  What are your thoughts on the x950h?  Thanks. Rick.

FInally resolved my Q70T judder.  THe probelm is well described in this thread as well as several other threads on this forum and others.   This took about 3 months to resolve.  Involded a couple of tech visits, replacement of the CPU and a multitude of conversations with support.  End result is Samsung agreed to warranty the unit and issued the RMA number to my dealer.  Persistence and patience is required.

Replaced the Samsung Q70T with a Sony X950H.  Costed a bit more but the picture is noticeably better and the jitter/jutter gone.

I've had motion issues when the ball is snapped during a football game. Pre-snap motion looks good, then right as players begin moving when the ball is snapped there is some noticeable stuttering which subsides after a second once the play gets going. It happens on both Fox and CBS. I haven't seen any other major motion issues. Doesn't mean there aren't any, but it could be I'm less sensitive to it. I tried adjusting Picture Clarity settings quite a bit, but it never went away even with Picture Clarity completely disabled. I experience this using the Youtube TV app on the TV itself.

It has been quite annoying, but this is the only issue I've experienced with my Q80T and I doubt I'll have a lot of luck getting it fixed through warranty so I don't really want to go that route.

I did finally find a fix by watching Youtube TV through the Xbox Series X (game mode and VRR disabled). I don't notice any pre-snap motion issues. I know that's not going to be a fix for everyone, but maybe trying different devices will help. For me, it seems to be an issue with the app on the TV.

I updated my Q90T sometime ago but I could still see some judder/frame drops while watching regular TV.  So it just occurred to me to do a reset and it seems the problem I was having ever since I bought this TV may Finally be gone?  Only time will tell but that is what I'm noticing right now...no issues!  Do a complete reset using the current firmware which is 1462.1 and let the community know!!
