I read your post. I too am extremely frustrated with Samsung. Wish I had read this thread before purchasing my 75" QLED TV 2 1/2 years ago. It worked fine till one week ago and then started having the issue everyone has posted about . I've tried everything pretty much and have had no success. I spoke to Samsung and they are not willing to do anything . I have emailed the VP of customer servie and next week will try to track him down by phone . His name is Chris Kim , email firstname.lastname@example.org . Maybe if we all pound on him we will get a response.
I have 5 other Samsung appliances in my home and if they do not address this I will never purchase another Samsung produc
Hey Astronaut, I had forgotten about this post until you replied to mine. I wanted to let you know that I finally got somewhere after I posted this. I really had to keep at Samsung support, and it actually took me finally being very firm with the support person I was talking with (I'm normally very polite and passive, but this was getting ridiculous) and then they finally referred me to a very polite and helpful person from Quebec, who told me this was a known issue and that Samsung was working on it, but here's what my issue was:
It seems that the Samsung QLED tv's have issues working with the variable refresh rates of certain devices (in my case it was my Xbox One S). So in the end, all it took to fix the issue was going into my Xbox and turning off variable refresh rate (which seemed to have no impact on my visual fidelity). I was pretty aghast at the lack of communication within Samsung support... but I hope this helps you!
Tv is only about 2 months old and restarts itself at random. Regardless off function or app. Random restarts. It is plugged into a surge protector. There are no other devices with issues. Additionally, the TV this replaced did not have the same issues. Lastly, the remote is not in use nor if the app when this occurs.
We are sorry to hear about this. Can you tell me what devices you have connected to the television?
@userejqyeiZH2S I suggest plugging the TV directly into the wall outlet and disconnecting all the devices from it. See if that has any play with the TV turning off and on.
This past weekend, my 4 month old 65 inch Q9FN, started to do complete reboots while playing my xbox 1 x. Xbox has been hooked up and used with the tv since I got it back in January of this year without any problems. The reboots were complete reboots with the QLED logo showing up after the tv started again and this happened a total of 4 times before I decided to change the HDMI cable at which point it happened one more time. I turned the xbox off at this point since I really didn't want the tv to continue to reboot itself. I am on firmware 1260.8 and have never had issues with reboots before until now..
Have you already tried to power reset the TV by unplugging it for a few minutes and plugging it back up?
