Two Q90Rs in the same room. How to control individually?

JUMP TO SOLUTION

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased two Q90R's for home, and they will be placed in the same large loft room. The problem is, the provided remotes from Samsung are causing a bit of a problem. When pushing the power button, both TV's turn on. Same when powering down.

Is there any way to sync a remote to a specific TV with Samsung? If not, what other things could I do? I cannot locate the IR sensor so blocking it with tape will be a challenge. Will a universal remote (such as Harmony Hub) help?

I saw another thread on here that said "unfortunately there's nothing you can do", but I'm looking for options. Thanks!

The easiest way to do it is through the smart things app from your smart device.

Wow. Surprisingly enough this worked. Each TV was recognized by the app, and the app allows me to turn on and control each individually. Wish this didn't require my phone, but at least it's a solution. Thanks!
