Buds2 Pro volume touch controls - Bug or not?

Not sure if its a bug or not. Is the Buds2 Pro (or any of them) volume touch control supposed to control master volume.

I can adjust the volume via touch control but my master volume stays the same level/number.

Also FYI: I have Sound Assist app. Touch controls doesnt change any of the levels (even my music app volume level)
