Where did call history ends up? I open the dialer and that's it no link to contacts no history anyone else?

I had the same issue yesterday.
It only happened once but I closed the dialer app then when I opened it back they were there.
When I say close I swipe up then click close all apps

(phone) Settings > Apps > Phone
Force Stop
Storage, Clear Cache
... check if that cleared it up
If not, might try a different dialer, such as Google Phone.
... Install, fire it up ... It'll ask for it to be Default, choose it.
Go to Recently ... does previous call list show up?
You can then switch back to Samsung Phone
