i cannot set silent mode from the volume buttons in android 16 ui 8 beta. in 15 and 14 i could lower the volume to vibration then silent. im not sure if a setting was reset? but it is very frustrating when im at work or have my phone on a hard surface.
just a general rant. if anyone knows how to re-enable this or if it can be added id like to know. i can still enable silent in settings but the ability to quickly silent the phone was a bonus for me.
Silent Mode can be enabled via quick panel settings, where volume down no longer silences the sound.

This is an absolutely stupid choice. Whoever came up with this did not think this through. Why would you move the logical next step from having a ring tone, to vibrate and then to silent away from the volume down button?
Why Samsung? Why? What is the reasoning for removing this feature? Makes zero sense! Such a pain in the @&& to remove this feature. 😡😡😡 Please bring it back!
