Samsung got rid of the Clear Cache Partition option in the February One UI 8 / One UI 8.5 Beta 6.

Why'd they take it out?

We used to use this after every software update.
No clue why they did this, or if they'll bring it back?

I posted early that this was going to happen with the February patch.

I haven't done that for years, and everything is working fine with me, so I guess it's not important.

I think it was added to the update. Like it does it automatically?

I am Curious to know how many people even know how updates work on their phones now.

As I said, it became obsolete. You don't need to do that anymore.sxrcizQg0W.jpg

"you should rely on clearing individual app cache if you experience issues."

โ˜๐Ÿพโ˜๐Ÿพ That clearly states that clearing cache is effective at remedying issues. It's illogical to say that wiping cache partition is obsolete, yet in the same breath say that if an app is having issues, wipe it's cache.. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ it isn't adding up.. Maybe I'm missing something here.

App Caches are stored in the Cache Partition correct?

That's correct; it's for temporary system data, log files, and app fragments. But now the update does that for you, so you don't need to. Still, if you have any problem with any app, you can clear that app's cache. They're just making it easier for you.
