Samsung got rid of the Clear Cache Partition option in the February One UI 8 / One UI 8.5 Beta 6.

Why'd they take it out?

We used to use this after every software update.
No clue why they did this, or if they'll bring it back?

So when you do the update, it does that for you. You don't have to do anything. But if you have a problem with an app, you only do that with this app. You don't need to do it for all apps when you only have a problem with one app.

But how would you know which app it is?

The one you have a problem with.
How many times do you do that? The monthly update will do that for you. You don't need to do that more than once a month.

Don't agree with this change. If I want to clear the cache partition as the user/owner of the device, I should be able to do so.

Doesn't matter that I haven't had the need to, it matters that the option to do it remains.

My OnePlus doesn't allow the cache to be cleared inside recovery. Hasn't has that option in a while because when the system installs the update to the opposite partition, that partition will be fresh and won't have any remnants from the second to last update because it'll wipe the cache as it updates. That's the nice part with A/B partitions.
