Expert RAW Ocean Mode: Volume button / Bluetooth shutter disabled with underwater housing

Hi everyone,

Iโ€™m having an issue with Expert RAW Ocean Mode on my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

I use a $99 Telesin P4WTP-06 underwater housing with Bluetooth controls. In the regular Samsung Camera app everything (like taking photos, zoom, stable bluetooth) works fine

So, the housing appears to trigger the volume button / shutter function

The problem starts in Expert RAW Ocean Mode, a new feature! Which is exactly the mode I want to use for underwater photography because of Samsungโ€™s underwater color correction / red-filter-like correction.

In Ocean Mode, the setting โ€œPress volume buttons toโ€ฆโ€ is disabled and shows: โ€œNot available for Ocean modeโ€

As a result, the Bluetooth shutter on the underwater housing no longer works. This makes Ocean Mode hard to use underwater, since touchscreen control is not reliable inside a housing.

Ideally Samsung would fix the option, but they purposely switched the funtionality off.

Does anyone else have this issue, or know a workaround besides interval shooting or third-party button mapper apps?

I bought Button Mapper, but can't change volume button to change to shutter  in the Expert Raw App.

Thanks a bunch all!

Setup:

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
  • Expert RAW app
  • Ocean Mode
  • Telesin P4WTP-06 underwater housing with Bluetooth shutter

Did you send this to beta feedback? I have a 26 ultra and do not use that feature. So I won't be able to suggest anything for you. Maybe someone else will
