Is anyone experiencing your Fold 6 running a little hot on OneUI7 update? I'm not sure if it's my imagination, or if it's running warmer than usual. There might be some battery drain, too.

Haven't experienced it but it's a fairly large update. Wipe your cache partition maybe?

Hello,

It's normal for a device to warm up temporarily after a major software update, as the system is optimizing settings, rebuilding app caches, and adjusting background processes. However, if your Galaxy Z Fold 6 continues to run warmer than usual or you notice excessive battery drain, here are a few things you can try:

1) Check Battery & App Usage

Go to Settings > Battery & device care > Battery > Usage since last full charge

Look for any apps consuming excessive power and consider optimizing or restricting background activity.

2)  Clear System Cache (Can help post-update optimizations)

Turn off your phone, then press and hold Power + Volume Up until you see the Samsung logo.

Use the volume buttons to navigate to Wipe Cache Partition and confirm with the Power button.

Select Reboot system now after clearing the cache.

3) Monitor Performance in Safe Mode

Restart your phone in Safe Mode (Press and hold power > Long press "Power off" > Tap Safe Mode).

If the issue persists, it could be system-related; if not, a third-party app may be causing the issue.

4) Submit a Bug Report

If your Fold 6 continues to overheat or drain battery excessively, we recommend submitting a Bug Report via Samsung Members > Beta Feedback > Error Reports to help the team investigate.

Let us know if these steps help! Thank you for your participation in the One UI Beta program and for sharing your experience.

Regards,
One UI Beta Team
