Gpay virtual card not working with UI 8.5 Beta?

I can't make any payments through gpay virtual cards, and I assume it means contact payment won't work either. When I opened the Google Wallet app, it had a warning that it detected my device may have been rooted or on an unsupported software, and that I wouldn't be able to use tap to pay. Is this because I'm on the UI 8.5 beta? I've never had these issues before

Yes, it's because you are on a beta. You can use Samsung Pay, but Google Pay and certain banking apps will not work until the official 8.5 rolls out.

This will be the case for all betas, so if you do need these applications to run I would not recommend installing future betas.

It actually has been working during this beta period. Normally that is the case but this time around it's been working fine.

+1 to this, I had no problems with gpay at the start of when I enrolled in the beta. Sometime over the last month, it stopped working. Now whenever I click on "pay now", nothing happens

That's bad info.....this beta absolutely supports Google pay. I use it daily.

This is normally correct for most betas. You can look at the hundreds of threads of people posting this same thing for oneui7/8.

Yes I have. I've been using it since the 8.0 1st beta. Only one update was a issue for a day. Apparently Samsung pushed that one update out without Google approval.

I'm not sure what to do in my situation. Gpay stopped working one day for me and Google wallet thinks I've "bricked" or rooted my phone

I just reported this bug. It looks like Google wallet updated sometime over night causing the wallet not to work. I can't get my transit card to work at the moment. It worked with no problems through this beta program til now.
