Longer charging time?

Anyone notice their S24U taking longer to charge. Even though the estimated time to a full charge is shown on the screen when the charger is connected it actually takes longer to charge. I've connected a power meter to check and it seems that randomly the charging watts would cycle from 20w and go down to 0 over and over. It doesn't stay consistent.

I've tried using both a genuine Samsung 25w charger and 100w charger. Everything was working fine before beta and I've even confirmed the cable and charger is working by connecting it to my old Note 20U and Samsung laptop.

I don't think it heat related. Phone is warm, but not hot when charging. Phone screen is turned off so it's not being used when charging. Sometimes I put my phone screen down on my glass table with the phone off to help keep things cooler which does seem to help with consistent charging in the past. But I've never seen the power fluctuate this much.

Curious if anyone notice this issue or maybe it's just me?

Thought it was just me. I'm using the s24+ and yes the estimated time seems correct but nowhere close to the actual time it takes to charge. Phone stays cool and nothing seems out of the ordinary

Yeah I was wondering why my phone takes longer to charge in the morning. I normally plug it in while doing morning stuff and after beta the battery does get much charge in the same time frame as it normally does

It's been happening for awhile, but it became sharply noticeable after I installed BETA. I've been searching for all my little tweaks I did to reduce battery consumption.

šŸ™„ Answer of the day: Beta. I'm having this problem and if my memory surves me well then this has happened to me 7 years straight in every Beta test. I'm a contracted developer for Samsung and worked on some off handed projects year before. So this is common. This will be more of a focus when other thing come more align with the finishing product. Once every bug and feedback is changed and done. Optimization and integration of overflow will be one of the final pieces. My question if you guys can think think out side the box here. A simple feedback in battery comsuption will bring notice but it something that is anticipated so what is the perpose in continue battery optimization every tweak in beta. šŸ™ Give them some air to breath. Everyone in beta having this problem. Nothing you can do. You just increase the power of your device by x2 with AI updated and every thing else. Give them time to fix what needs to be fixed.

The issue for me is not battery consumption. It's the actual charge. There's a bug with fast charging. If I disable fast charging the charging wattage is consistent. Once fast charging is selected, the charging wattage fluctuates and not stable. Also tends to happen arounf 22-90% battery. Anything below or after things seems to be normal. I already reported this issue in beta
