My device won't check for new software.

Every time I try to manually check for new software for the latest beta 6.2 it doesn't check. I click check for updates and it tries to connect to server and stops. Date still says August 18th last check. It's the 31st. Wont check for anything new. This sucks.

Tried to update in safemode, put a Sim into this device and even cleared cache. Nothing. Any ideas?

That's why I downloaded it from somewhere else and side loaded it but I really can't tell you how to do that because it's way too involved and you're phone WILL get factory reset if you do it.

Can you use samsung pay after side load installation ？

🤣🤣🤣 I'm experienced. But I get it. I'm not trying to waste a bunch of time reinstalling my apps and logging in. Thanks.

Factory reset gave me the ability to download the latest beta.

This worked for me!
What I did, it worked. Backup via smart switch PC, then downgrade via smart switch PC, then you will be back to 5.1, then update, will bring you to 5.1 August update, then update again, should be 6.0 beta 2. Make sure you sign into at least Samsung account! Maybe even members. After installed, I restored with the smart switch PC
