Hello all! On the latest One UI 8 Beta 4 (ZYGB), I am attempting to get the new Android Linux Terminal working.

On after downloading the necessary files, the familiar "Unrecoverable error" pops up, indicating that "Non-protected VMs are not supported on this device."  This is similar to reports that the new also-Snapdragon-powered Galaxy Z Fold 7 does not allow the Linux terminal to run, even though the Exynos-powered Flip 7 is able to run the Linux Terminal. https://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-z-flip-7-linux-terminal-3578675/

Samsung, are you able to explain why the terminal doesn't work? Also, will this be fixed at some point?

Thank you!

Hello,

Thank you for your multiple feedback on Linux Terminal.

After reviewing your error report, we noticed that your "system log" files were missing from the error report and further analysis could not proceed.

1. Open Samsung Members.
2. Navigate to One UI Beta Program > Beta Feedback.
3. Attach any relevant screenshots or screen recording/video (if possible).
4. Ensure "Send system log data" is checked, then submit the report.

Important: Please submit the report within 3 minutes of reproducing the issue for accurate log data collection.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and truly appreciate your contribution to improving the Beta experience.

Best regards,
