QuestionsHello,
Thank you for your feedback.
Starting on One UI 8, you can use "Use Volume buttons for media" option under Volume settings to control the media volume via Volume buttons.
If you toggle this option off, your volume button will control your ringtone as vibration or sound.
We appreciate your contribution to beta program.
Regards,
One UI Beta Team

QuestionsBooooooooo!!!
"your volume button will control your ringtone as vibration or sound"
Notice it said vibration or sound, not silence. Terrible change in functionality. Media volume control was just fine before. No need for any special setting.

QuestionsI am having the same issue with the production version of One UI 8 on Galaxy S25 Ultra (US). Uninstalled Sound Assistant to no avail, and "Use Volume Keys for Media" has no effect on the setting.
Previously, with the phone in vibrate mode, pressing the volume rocker down once would put the phone in silent mode. This seems to no longer be possible with One UI 8. Pressing the volume down rocker in vibrate mode does nothing, to enable silent mode one must go through the settings drawer and press the sound mode control manually. This is frustrating, would appreciate the convenience feature being reintroduced.

QuestionsSame issue and this is extremely infuriating. This is the way iOS is, and one of the features I hate most about iOS. You have to go into settings essentially to mute the device. Come on Samsung.
