On-Device Mode Samsung S22+

An on-device pack download is required, but it continues to say server error and will not download. Has anyone else experienced this?

What is "on device pack"? I never heard of it. Is that part of some app? Samsung app? Oh, just figured, something in connection with bixby. Never mind

It is part of the offline Speach Bixby features to allow you to use certain voice commands to access features on your phone

Great questions! I'm not familiar with it and have been researching without much luck. It showed up after downloading One UI Beta. It might be specific to Samsung or my device. I posted assuming it was something known to many. It came up when setting up Bixby and also mentioned TalkBack. I will see if I can gather more information on it.

Please see the attached link for the Bixby on device feature please install both applications one is the language package that allows the feature to work, please let me if it fixes your issue with the network error

Both of those were already installed. I uninstalled and then re-installed them, and then the on-device mode toggled on without error. Thank you for your response.

For the Samsung S22+, under Bixby settings, it has an option titled: “On-device mode”. Under that option it says, “Process certain types of audio commands on your device for a faster and improved Bixby experience.” When you select that option and toggle the switch to on and attempt to download the required package, it says the server is not available. It is not something vitally important to me, but I thought it important to research and communicate as a potential problem for others who might come across it. I’d love to know more about it.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused by not being able to access the on-device feature for Bixby please see the attached link to download the software from the Galaxy store you will also need the Language package both links are listed below
