I will be upgrading next month to the S25U, do I need to take the Beta software of my S24U before I trade it in?

You always have to send the phone with a hard reset, so when you go to send it already probably the stable version is available.

A hard reset and removal from Google Account is necessary. So that's what I plan.

A factory reset will still leave Beta if the stable hasn't released by then.

You can still trade-in your phone as long as the device is Factory Data reset-ed 🙂
