galaxy s23 ultra.
in the past when I quick-pressed the power button putton my phone would go to a dimmed screen. it had a black background but I could see the clock and the notification icons. then something happened - I don't know what - and now when I quick-press the power button the screen goes completely black.

where is the setting to get to back to the previous dimmed screen?

Hello,

It sounds like your phoneā€™s Always On Display (AOD) settings or Lock Screen behavior may have changed. To restore the dimmed screen with a clock and notifications after pressing the power button, try the following:

1) Check Always On Display settings (Settings > Lock Screen & AOD > Always On Display) and ensure itā€™s enabled with ā€œTap to Showā€ or "Show for 10 secondsā€ instead of ā€œOff.ā€
2) Verify Side Key settings (Settings > Advanced Features > Side Key) to ensure it's not mapped to another function.
3) Adjust your Lock Screen Timeout settings to prevent the screen from turning completely black too quickly.
4) Restart your phone to reset any unintentional changes.

thankyou but in step 1 there is no such thing as "Tap to Showā€ or "Show for 10 secondsā€  in my settings.

and in step 3 there is no such thing as 'Lock Screen Timeout' in my settings

I have Lock Screen & AOD > Always On Display enabled
