I experienced the same problem until I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it from the Galaxy Store. The Beta update caused the problem, but you can remedy that by following the instructions above.

I deleted the app and reinstalled it worked fine then when u sent to restore my notes it didn't restore any that were backed up the night before then went to crashing every time I tried to use the app. it's so broken
