I noticed the device is no longer play protect certified under beta. I understand it's beta but what does it take to be play protect certified?

Samsung would have to submit the build to Google so they can certify it. In the past Samsung hasn't submitted Alpha (Developer) or Beta builds to Google for certification. You'll probably have to wait for the final release to get a certified build.

What he said. beta builds change faster than the certification process takes to complete and the certification would be obsolete.
