Samsung Apps and ServicesInstalled a 980 Pro in my Alienware R12, pretty sure originally it was showing up in Samsung Magician because I actually ran the benchmark, but now its saying its not compatible.
Only thing I can think of is it stopped working when I installed my 970 Evo (as a second drive and my Seagate Barracuda. But not sure why that would effect this.

Samsung Apps and ServicesAccording to the R12 manuals it is designed and specified for a single NVME SSD. The other M.2 socket is for a Wifi/Bluetooth card.
Did you really put a slow mechanical Sata hdd in the R12 instead of a fast Sata SSD?
Remove the 970 and hdd, verify the 980 is in the proper M.2 socket and proceed from there.
Oh, btw, the error message shown states you are using an Intel driver which is not supported by Magician. Magician 6.3?

Samsung Apps and ServicesI put the 980 PRO in the nvme slot on the MB (replacing the 256 GB drive it came with).
The 970 EVO and Barracuda are connected vi SATA as they should.
Doing some more research it seems the bios is set to RST/RAID and needs to be set to ACHI. So now the question is other then not being able to use Samsung Magician fir the main drive, do I lose any performance between RST/RAID and ACHI?

Samsung Apps and ServicesYou referred to your 970 being connected via Sata? The 970 is NVME whereas the 870 Is Sata.
I believe it's mentioned in the Magician installation notes that it doesn't work across Raid interfaces so AHCI is the way to go and Magician will be happy.
Use the stock Microsoft NVME driver until Samsung releases new drivers for the 980 PRO.

Samsung Apps and ServicesSamsung has no driver for the 980 Pro. Windows driver works fine and the controller depending on the motherboard works fine. The issue is basically Samsung Magician Software ... and the only reason you need it is to update the firmware, but it's not compatible with all drivers, particularly Storage Controllers, is not the driver that Windows installs ... etc. Perhaps this video will help resolve this issue ...

Samsung Apps and ServicesAlready running in AHCI mode before I installed Windows 10 21H1 and no issues with Samsung Magician 6.3.0 but the NVME driver "Samsung NVMe Express Device is not connected. Connect the Device and try again." when trying to install the 3.3 NVMe driver.

Samsung Apps and ServicesI have same problem also ! it seems many people arround the world have the same problem also ! Samsung why don't release a driver for 980 Pro ?! why also Magician must work only on AHCI mode ?! it seems these limits are not logical and only make problem for the customers ! not fair !
