Adding digital Drivers License to Samsung Wallet?

Does samsung wallet support digital drivers licenses? If so, where do I add it?

To the best of my knowledge, I don't believe this functionality is currently available. In my brief time researching, I found that some people were able to add their licenses in by selecting "Memberships" from the Menu tab of Samsung Wallet, but this would only be to scan the barcode on the back. There may be another way to "technically" add the front of the card as well, but I'm not certain any entity would honor this as a valid form of ID.

I see. That's unfortunate, as I'd like to use Samsung wallet, but if it doesn't support digital drivers licenses I'll have to use Google wallet instead because they do support it

It is rather unfortunate, yes. 😞 Google Wallet is great! I fully support your decision lol. Samsung may be adding this in soon though, so keep an eye out for updates. It may be by state law, but I'm not sure on that.

I installed Google Wallet. I'm just seeing Maryland as an option. Do you have more states available?

No, only MD is available for me as well. But I do have an MD license

Oh I see! LOL well it appears your state is the only one to have that ability. That's probably why it isn't in Samsung Wallet yet, they are waiting for more states to get approved before they release the feature. 😅

Google Wallet only allows ID in the state of Maryland. Until this changes there's a ton of people who can't add their IDs to their devices lol

Not all state IDs/Licenses can be loaded. Only one of the four states currently. AZ, CO, GA, MD
