Samsung Apps and ServicesI have decided that I do not mind the battery blob on the status bar - even with my bad eyes I can see it and the battery percentage. I do very much prefer the old indicator, though. That being said, I really, really, really dislike the blob showing through on my AOD and there does not appear to be a way, that I can find, to turn it off the AOD without turning off the battery indicator in the status bar. Does anyone know a way to do this that I am missing? Is my only choice to replace the battery blob on the status bar with a widget on my screen?

Samsung Apps and ServicesYou know how I feel about stuff on my status bar. Everything is off. I don't mind a widget on my screen. I have it stacked with my Buds widget for easy access to look at all my battery levels for all my wearables. I don't like Samsung's widget for the lockscreen in the widget area. I use the one of my choice.
In the Beta forum I have requested a change to the battery pill. Not happening, a few things I have requested have been added to HomeUp module though.
3 years running I have requested to hide page indicators, you can now hide them.
I requested app drawer pages sort to be alphabetical, they added that.
I asked for larger homescreen folders with regular sized icons instead of folders with small icons, they added that.
I made a lot of requests that people have thought were good ideas..I want stackable folders.
The lockscreen is photo ambient weather, it sunset time. It changes color as the sunsets lower

Samsung Apps and ServicesI don't mind things on the status bar on the status side of the bar - the notification icons really annoy me and I am glad they limit them to just 3 (I had it set for three anyway). I just don't understand why people want their notification icons running amok on their status bar. That nonsense about "missing important notifications" is just that. You can't just tap on a single notification icon and they don't tell you what the notification is, only that there's a notification from an app, not who the notification is from or whether it's actually important. You still have to slide down the notification shade to view it, so if one sees even one icon, they know they have notifications to view. By now everyone knows that even if they can't see the number on the right of the bubble, if they tap the notification bubble it breaks into individual notifications. Sorry, went off on a tangent there.
I prefer not to have a boatload of widgets on my screen, even if they are stackable (good idea, btw, since I only like to have a maximum of two home screens - that's why everything is in folders). My sister, OTOH, likes to have pages and pages and pages of home screens - she uses each home screen as a folder. I don't actually even know how she recognizes her apps, she has such a crazy icon pack for them and makes them so tiny against the busiest wallpaper (a photo of her entire downward lineage). Drives me nuts every time I have to look at her phone for any reason.
I would hope hiding the page indicators is a choice, not that they are just gone. I quickly got used to the vertical scroll in the app drawer, so there are no more pages, but it's convenient for me to tap on the page indicator to switch between my two home screens rather than swipe. Seems I was always unconsciously trying to swipe up in the app drawer anyway - it's a more natural movement when one is used to scrolling on phone screens.

Samsung Apps and ServicesI personally prefers as many notification icons as possible in the statusbar. I'm lazy enough to swipe through the Notification panel as I have to maintain multiple messaging apps and other softwares. Like your sister, I also prefer multi-page homescreen.

Samsung Apps and ServicesThis was a response to someone else, as a commentary between friends on the personal choices of others that the two of us just do not understand. It was not meant for *you*. *Our* personal choices are to not have any clutter on our status bars. I can only imagine the clutter in those people's houses or their work spaces because they need everything at hand all at once.
And, the home screen pages are a completely different animal than status bar notification icons. It serves no purpose to have notification icons all across the status bar, as you cannot see who said notifications are from or what they say, and you cannot tap directly on them to view them (you still have to pull the shade down), so why have them there? There was also a limit to how many icons can be there even when it was "unlimited". If you get one notification icon, you know you have to pull down the shade anyway, so what's the difference?
