Samsung, please bring back the ability to unlock the Bootloader in One UI 9. Now that it's gone in One UI 8, It destroys the value and ability to refresh phones once they get old. The entire point of Android is being able to have control over your device and do what you need to do. Please bring the ability back.

All OEMs with devices that are readily purchased in the US are locking the bootloader. Even some Chinese manufacturers have made bootloader unlocking more difficult or impossible. Samsung won't reverse that decision.

It's a horrible trajectory. Samsung should not be following. Heck, even Google still lets you unlock the Bootloader and flash things (like GrapheneOS). Never thought Samsung would do this because they've always been nicer to the users. I hope the bring it back because it literally destroyed the value of devices like the Galaxy S22 series.

No they don't on Pixel 9 or higher.

You can no longer install Graphene OS on new Pixel Phones.

That is not true. My friend has a Pixel 9 Pro and runs GrapheneOS on it.

The latest Pixel, the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL still has the ability to unlock the bootloader. What you are saying is false information. From Google as well: "Pixel 10 still supports bootloader unlocking on non-carrier (unlocked) models, just as before."

Bootloader has been locked on Samsung Snapdragon devices for a long time. That's the entire North American market. I don't know how you can seriously expect them to change that.

That is also not true. I was able to unlock the Bootloader on my Galaxy S24 Ultra (Snapdragon) in the U.S. about a year ago and it was super easy. I don't know where you are getting your information but it's false.
