Yes. Bixby is like Alexa -- but it can run features on your phone and do "AI" tasks. 

 

Samsung creates a proprietary algorithm on you..  Bixby also takes your data plan and transmits to the Samsung and third parties.

I feel Bixby uses a lot of data and battery power.  I don't use it because of it.  Bixby was using up to 10% battery life per charge to 100%.  That is a lot of juice! 

 

After i turned it off, my batter drain continues -- but "Bixby Voice Wake-Up" is using ~3-5% battery -- which is a lot for an app that i do not want to use.
