Hi, hopefully this is the appropriate place to report bugs related to Samsung apps.
The My Files app, version 11.5.02.391 has a bug related to the “Compress” (ZIP) menu option.
When a user navigates to a specific directory, such as “Internal Storage/Downloads” and selects multiple files, the 3-dot menu will offer the option to “Compress” these files and create a ZIP file.
On the other hand, if the user navigates to the “Downloads” using the shortcut on the My Files main menu (mainactivity), selecting multiple files does not offer the same “Compress” option in the 3-dot menu, even if it’s the same 3 files chosen.
I believe this affects other users, it should be fixed since some users are quick to assume that the compression option is unavailable, and rush to install other apps for simple file compression.
