Custom Font Support, Status Bar icon resize in Android 10 ONEUI 2.0

JUMP TO SOLUTION

Why has custom font support been removed in Android 10 ONEUI 2.0?

Since the Android 10 update with ONEUI 2.0

my status bar icons have doubled in size and it's incredibly frustrating!

We should be allowed to resize icons in the status bar to our unique personal preference.

Such a simple feature should be in Android 10.

Users have the right to customise their hard earned money purchased high priced tech, the way they want to. Otherwise consumer rights are being taken away and that's essentially a grey area and technically against the law.

This is how I wanted it to look, I figured it out for myself, NO THANKS to “Samsung Care” BUT...Many Thanks to The “#Hex_” Galaxy Theming Community I found on my own through a google search.

On Note 10 plus running One UI 2.0 you can still change font and font size in Settings -> Display -> Font size and style.

What phone are you using?

Maybe I'm not explaining the issue properly.

Yes I have Note 10+ with HarmonicaSansCondensed installed but after the update from Android 9 to 10 my status bar icons became Gigantic, I can't seem to find a way to resize them to how it was configured before the update. How can I change this ?

I would try clearing the cache partition. To do that:

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby / Power key.
  3. Once the Android Recovery screen comes up, release the buttons.
  4. Use the Volume Down button until you are highlighting ‘Wipe cache partition.’
  5. Press the Power button to select ‘Wipe cache partition.’
  6. Use Volume Down to highlight Yes.
  7. Press the Power button to confirm the action to clear the cache.
  8. Wait for a second as the system wipes the cache.
  9. Press the Power button again to reboot the device. This will return the device to the normal interface.

Ahhh! 🤯 nope just tried wiping cache partition, that didn't help.

`The Quick Panel`

button layout icon size I mean.

Any other suggestions how to resize them. Pinch & Expand you'd think'd be optional here like viewing in Gallery ->Pictures.

Here's the size of them in a screenshot.

They were half the size on Android 9 and the grid rows of it were larger to fit more on the screen at once. With a double downward screen drag it was really useful how I had it. Any more suggestions?Screenshot_20200124-020104_Chrome.jpg

That screenshot looks normal.

I know the screenshot looks normal, the button icons have reverted size back to default in the Android upgrade.

I simply want to customise the button icon size of 'The Quick Panel' i.e. make them smaller to fit more button icons on the screen, like I had it configured in Android 9 before the Android 10 update. It's not too much I'm asking here. Any other useful suggestions? 🤔
