I have a beautiful 65" curved 4K UHD Smart TV with matching sound bar. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. It is absolutely ridiculous that the Disney+ app only works with 2016-2019 models. I'm not sitting on a pile of money where I can buy a new TV every few years. I'm so disappointed that Samsung neglected their loyal customer base. Why should I purchase a streaming service when I supposedly have a Smart TV?
It is solely up to the developers of application what devices/models they work on and support. I would recommend reaching out to the developers of the Disney+ application for more information on this.
I agree and I'm in the same boat - I don't buy $1000 tv's every year.
I have 2 Samsung TVs purchased in 2016 but are 2015 models I just found out. What I don't understand is that the Smart TV OS for the 2016 and 2015 smart TVs are the same - Tizen. I could maybe understand if it was a totally different OS, but the TV is only 4 years old!
Contact Disney Support like I did and threaten to leave their immature steaming service until they get their stuff (you know what I mean!) together and get them to escalate this update!
Disney is just being cheap and lazy as usually!
