My email app will no longer let me sign in. It says ithere is a problem signing in to my account. 
I have not changed my password and I am able to sign in on other devices.

Try changing your email password on a laptop or computer and delete email off the phone And put it back on the phone with the new password.

If you do there is an option on the desktop web version that you must disable, it's called "allow insecure, or other apps to access mail"
Or something to that effect, can't remember exact wording... It lowers the security of Gmail to allow outside email apps to access the your Gmail account. I had to do this when I started using Microsoft outlook on my devices...

Sorry I didn't respond right away.
Thank you for your posts.
To fix the problem I deleted both the cache and data storage files
I then deleted the app and reinstalled it. This fixed the problem.
