I have a MedicAlert and they have QR codes with a URL that takes you straight to my medical info.

I'd like an option on the lock screen to display the QR code for emergency responders and maybe the ability to visit the URL directly.
Would be nice if it had

Something like this would be ideal.

You should be able to take a screenshot of the QR code and using the gallery widget use that as your photo

This is a really smart and important feature request. Having the ability to display a MedicAlert QR code directly on the lock screen could make a big difference in an emergency. It would be great if Samsung added a dedicated “Medical QR” or “Emergency Info Shortcut” option in the Lock Screen settings that supports QR codes or even links to medical profiles.

Until then, one workaround (as already suggested) is to take a screenshot of your QR code and set it as your lock screen wallpaper or place it in the Gallery widget on the lock screen. You can also store your medical info using Emergency information under Settings > Safety and emergency > Medical info, but I agree it’s not as dynamic or scannable as a QR code.

Thanks for bringing this up — hopefully Samsung considers it in a future update.

To expound on @SolvefForce using Good Lock and LockStar you can create a sticker and apply it to your Lockscreen.

I'm next to a chronic neuropathic and muscle pain, clusterheadache and Fibromyalgia patient also an Addison's decease patient and when going into a crisis it's vital for me to show information by opening an app (Bijnier app). Yes, I've entered all my medical info into the emergency info part within setting which can be reach without the need of a code or biometrics but that part is limited due to character limitations (I've got more deceased, use lots of medication, have numerous doctors/specialist including phone number, instruction and miscellaneous information.

I've set the app to be opened by double click on the side button but that doesn't when the phone is locked. It would be great if such apps can be opened while not being authorized. The emergency information is just too limited and people around me can watch a video in the app so they know how to inject my lifesaving medicine that I'm carrying. And yes, I've got a piece of paper with the steps but I've seen people reaction much better when they are guided by someone who calmly explains the steps against a person looking at a piece of paper, stressed out and almost needing my medicine.

Last time the paramedics were also figuring out what to do and lucky I didn't pass out so showing them the app with every bit of info instantly made them do the thing my body needed.

I guess that it doesn't matter what a person uses and indeed, a background can be made with that info but don't forget there are letters, a possible message (mine is a lost and found one with a phone number) and then you have the clock and some other icons. The lockscreen is just not customizable enough.

More lifesaving features could be a spoken message so when a person in need hold a side button the message is played over and over again. You can think of so much things what you can do as lifesaving options but for that a piece of the security layer needs to be opened up.

For us people with life-threatening deceases the choice is simple and I think that Samsung/Google and the devs of the applications we use can have a possibility to load the application in a sandboxed part when that emergency button is (double) pressed. Just a thought and applications won't have access to other parts of the OS and/or data. shouldn't be that hard and it brings big comfort and one of the best features if you ask me...now I'm still alive :D...

I'm a S24 Ultra user btw with a nice watch which maybe in time of an emergency can flash, change color from red to white... so much ideas....
