Galaxy 42mm Rose Gold Watch overheating while wearing it within seconds

I had this watch for almost 7 months. The watch worked fine until last night. It just started overheating while wearing it. I let it rest overnight. It was fully charged. As soon as I place my watch on my wrist, it overheats within seconds and I had to quickly take the watch off. Within seconds it overheats, and my battery life is draining. Before closing, my screen shows the overheating sign and shuts off.

This is exactly the same problem I experienced with this watch which is why I've decided not to purchase another Samsung watch. My family and I have been dedicated Samsung product users for years, but this watch was much too expensive to have this happen. I've spoken with customer service twice and reset the watch. Very disappointing that the only solution I'm given other than rebooting is to send it in for repair not knowing what the cost will be. It lasts 1.5 hours in power saving mode.

 

I should have simply returned it straight away as the battery never got me through a full 8 hour workday. Very, very disappointed.
