One unique thing about Samsung Pay is it uses both Near Field Communication (NFC) **and** Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) technology, making it work with nearly all pay terminals (MST fakes the terminal into thinking a magnetic card was swiped).

In contrast, Apple Pay and Android Pay rely on NFC to make contactless payments. These services are limited to merchants with NFC-enabled payment terminals.

I had the same issue. Not being able to use my financing account. I was getting card error. Called TD Bank and the issue is samsang blocked my account because they couldn't verify the number. The TDBank guys sent me a code to verify my number and my account is working perfectly now.
