Samsung Apps and ServicesAnd that's the problem. What is the thing MOST people want to do with the remote? Turn the set on. The problem with going through the internet is, the set cannot be controlled that way UNTIL it is on. So, you still have to use the TV remote for that.
So eliminating the IR Blaster did create a problem that I don't see a way to solve. Do you,

Samsung Apps and Services1. The smart tv IS on. It's always in a stanby mode, so has power and should be capable of wifi commands if firmware update would allow. 2. Currently cannot get into smart tv service menu without an IR blaster.
