I decided to put a virus protector on my phone. I chose the Norton 360, now this was after many go arounds with them free cleaners, that really don't too much of anything, but waste your time choosing if you should make the rocket take off on the screen, I'm sure you're aware of the highly annoying ad that sounds like a submarine siren and is stating that you have 58 viruses and if you don't download their equipment today oh boy you're in trouble. Well thank God I was never in that bad a shape I've had to restart my phone a few times but I guess that's the way it goes I was wanting to know why if the community could offer what they thought was a good sound virus blocker for for a cell phone I used Norton 360 before on our laptop, many years ago it was the only one I knew besides the knockoffs, I was using before I decided to pay for one, I guess that's part one of the question, I would like to know is it possible to be infected with viruses while having a virus scan subscription. I got the subscription that has commercial and ads blocked also I don't know if I can talk about Tick Tock but I'm going to either a pretty big virus cuz they're in every add or they pay a truckload of money for the same effect. Feel like being friendly let me know what virus scanner you would use and if you think it's 100% safe and also what adds bothers you. I guess you all can tell today is my off day thanks for putting up with me have a nice day.

I would go with Norton 360 again. Choose the one that has 5 licenses. So you can have multiple device coverage from PC to phones. Norton 360 on Android works like a charm. And that's why I have Norton 360 with Life Lock.

Appreciate you sharing that wisdom thank you it was a toss up between 360 and I was reading a lot of good things about that AVG I believe that's it AVG Antivirus but since I had Norton on the home computer before that was the deciding factor . So don't forget to mention your least favorite add that's played repeatedly over and over again. I mentioned the one I don't like. I was hoping to hear yours

I used to get pop ups like randomly like you mentioned. But that's was before i installed Norton. Also I have 3 AD blocks that's running in the internet explorer settings.

Norton security device protection blocks all websites that gives you malicious pop-ups. So you can avoid that before you open the website

Yeah I don't get to pop ups as bad as I used to. I had that Smart Security as a cleaner and it was constantly being used manually so I had to watch The Tick Tock ad made me sick

I've had a cellphone since the late 90s. First with Cingular, which was LA Cellular, and now is AT&T, and I've never had a virus. Never needed secondary virus software, the network antivirus has always been good enough. I think you really just need some common sense habits when surfing the web, reading email, etc, to keep your phone safe.

Norton is malware. I would bet cash money that these "viruses" it found are completely made up or at best, just some trackers left over from apps you've installed.
