As a bilingual user, I switch between two languages at different times of the day. Currently, Samsung’s Modes and Routines feature has limited support for automating this. When I search “Settings,” it can only open the app — no deeper actions. Searching “Languages” gives no results.
We need two improvements:
1. Deeper Routine Actions or Better Bixby Integration
Allow routines to perform deeper actions like:
Open Settings > Language > Switch to [Second Language]
Bixby does have a Quick Command option to open language settings, and you can add actions in sequence. But here's the problem: when I try to make it select the second language, Bixby gets confused. If I say “open system language settings and change to the second option,” it treats this as a single command and fails. Fixing Bixby’s ability to follow sequential UI actions could be another solution.
2. Expand "App Languages" Support
All apps — except security-related ones — should be listed in App Languages. Right now, this depends on app developers enabling support. It shouldn’t. We need system-level control to switch languages in every app, not just the ones that support Samsung's language override.
This would greatly improve the experience for bilingual users. Please consider this for a future update!
