Make Calls/Texts only in Same Wifi

My calls and texts on multiple devices used to work on my phone and tablet no matter what wifi I was on, but with recent updates it seems this feature now only works when connected to the same WiFi. Even my watch could make calls if I left my phone at home but now it won't because it's not on the same WiFi. 

Can I ask if anyone else has noticed or if this has caused frustrations for anyone else? 

I wish we could revert back.

This is a pretty significant hobbling of this feature, IMO. I too would like to see it reverted. Maybe require a pass code (like Wallet does) to use when devices are on different WiFi networks.

That would work. I definitely wouldn't mind inputting some "proof it's me" code or password just would be really helpful to be able to make calls again.

Is there a Samsung app to have phone calls come from Samsung Galaxy s22 ultra to  my samung tablet? I can't figure it out... older lady but trying thankyou

I'll be glad to help with this. If you go to settings and search "call" you should scroll and see "Call and Text on Other Devices" make sure it's turned on for both your phone and tablet. Please note for it to work, they have the be on the same wifi network.
