Samsung Apps and Services
Hi everyone. I recently purchased a Samsung s25 ultra. It is a T-Mobile phone. I have us cellular right now. The phone was network unlocked so I could use my Sim from us cellular. When my phone updated to android 16 with my Sim card inside, it changed my network lock to us cellular. If you check the imei, it says it is unlocked to t-mobile. If i put in another carrier Sim card it will not make calls. Only us cellular works now. How can I fix. Please help. Thanks

I just tried that and it did switch, but then it says no service and is still network locked. I switch back to auto and us cellular popped back up and now I have service again.

All right sounds like you got to solved then do it as long as it's working.

Yeah I have to be very careful about buying phones, make absolutely sure what carrier was, is it unlocked, whatever

I wonder if this has something to do with T-Mobile's purchase of US Cellular. I understand that the purchase has been finalized and that US Cellular customer service is now T-Mobile's customer service.

What would stop you from using T-Mobile?

Ok, my statement above was about US Cellular being purchased by T-Mobile. T-Mobile has nothing to do with AT&T's customer service.

I would like to go back to them, but my phone is network locked to us cellular now. I talked to t-mobile, us cellular and xinfinity and they all say it is unlocked, but my phone will not take any other Sim card from another network. Us cellular said it's not locked and there is nothing they could do. They said to try a hard reset. I did that and still have the say issue. I was hoping since it was Samsung's update that they might have a fix for it
