No notification sound when receiving MM message telling me message can't be downloaded.

I am using Samsung Messaging (SMS).

When a multimedia message is sent to either of our phones (ZFold-3 & A13), they will not download if Mobile Data is turned off. That's not a big problem because what I receive is a message that tells me that the MM message can't be downloaded and gives me the size of the real message.

The problem is that this notification message does not notify me with any sound even though all my other messages provide a sound when they come so I have no idea that there is a pending MM message unless I happen to look at my phones. I don't want to leave Mobile Data on all the time so I only turn it on when needed.

How can I make the message notification notify me?

I use samsung messaging have you went into the messaging settings and clicked the notifications tab? Make sure that everything is turned on so you can get your messages

Let me make it clearer. I am using Samsung SMS.

When a message arrives, I ALWAYS get a notification sound UNLESS the following is true:

• Mobile Data is OFF which stops all images and MultiMedia Messages.

When that is the case, I get the Notification below.

If I then turn Mobile Data on, the real message will download and I will get the Notification sound.

The problem is that this message itself shown does not trigger a notification sound so, unless I look at my phone, I don't know that a message has arrived that can't be downloaded.

I see no setting that would apply.

Oh wow I see... that's is weird my sister sent me a video and it popped up like that but it notified me when it came through that is odd I know about a month ago samsung messages had a update through the samsung store that I had to download have you downloaded the update? I hope that helps that is very frustrating

Thanks but it's so frustrating. I have chatted with Samsung multiple times but I always forget to do it in the morning and they are soooo slow to respond, I have to leave before I get an answer.

MMS won't trigger a notification sound because it hasn't been fully delivered. There is no way to trigger a notification till then.
