Not receiving pop up notifications on lock screen

My phone does not give me pop up notifications on my lock screen for text messages, my phone vibrates but my screen does not light up and give me a pop up.

 

I have gone thru and insured all notification settings are correct, I have cleared my cache and data and have ensured the battery settings for the app are set to unrestricted but none of it has worked. 

Please help as this is very frustrating as I miss many messages due to this.

Do you have lockscreen notifications turned on under settings > notifications > lock screen? Do you have notification categories enabled under settings > notifications > advanced settings?

Yes and yes, unfortunately this is not the solution

Hi, DONUTKING7, Welcome to the Community. We understand the importance of receiving text messages in a timely fashion and understand your concern that the notifications not showing up on the lock screen. We want to look into this with you.

 

Thank you for letting us know that you've already cleared cache and made sure all notification and battery settings are configured correctly. Here are the things we'd recommend checking: Quick Settings to make sure Power Saving is off and Do Not Disturb is Off and Battery Settings -specifically the Sleeping Apps and the Deep Sleeping Apps.

The next step we'd recommend is to boot the phone into Safe Mode to see if another app is interfering with the notifications.

If Safe Mode doesn't resolve the issue, please check for software updates.

Sadly I'm part of this club too.
Notifications not working and I've spent hours changing settings. Hopefully Samsung puts out a fix.
