First of all I have always supported samsung, my last three phones were samsung, I have a samsung watch, a samsung tablet, samsung tvs, and was planning on getting a samsing ring. After getting the S24 back in October and dealing with the camera issue, going back and fourth with support only to get told "we'll look into it" and now the newest update not only leaving the issue unfixed but changed a bunch of stuff that didn't need changing, im officially done with samsing products.

Thousands of people have been complaining about the auto enhancement feature on the camera ruining photos and pretty much making the camera useless. When you contact support they'll tell you to turn off all kinds of features and it doesnt fix the issue. All they need to do is turn off the auto enhancement. Don't tell me to use pro mode because those pictures suck and when my daughter is doing something cute I dont have time to put it in pro and adjust parameters. My wife's iphone takes amazing pictures at the snap of a finger. It's 2025, there's no excuse to be putting out a product this bad and not fixing it after thousands of complaints. This shows me that samsung flat out doesn't care about customer satisfaction. they can't accept that they put out a bad product so they choose to ignore complaints.

There was a large update that just came out, that completely changed the UI. It changed icons, changed the way volume sliders look, changed the lock screen, changed the notification slider, and much more. There was nothing wrong with any of those things the way they were, but I could accept that because I was excited and hopeful that they fixed the camera issue, and they didn't. That is enough for me to say never again. Back to LG I go or possibly to apple as much as I dont want to. I'm not paying $800 for a phone that I hate.

Bit ranty but here are the issues with one ui 7 I've encountered in the first few hours of use.

How do I maintain the old media player behavior? That is: swipe down once and hit pause. That is all. Currently I swipe down a single time (already set to combined) and I see media player for YouTube for example when media is playing only if live notifications is enabled. That's my status bar space and that is distracting, so no I don't want my Samsung to be a dynamic island or whatever. Or I can swipe down twice to get the media controls. I am aware you can show the device control button but that is again a second input after swiping down which does not match one ui 6.

I literally just want to swipe down and see media controls but also not have the apple dynamic island **bleep** on the top.

Other obvious problems:

Select text and an AI button comes up with no way to disable. Get that useless nonsense out of here. Unsure why it happens on only some text sections.

Tap an empty text input section and WRITING ASSIST comes up. No thanks, I can speak for myself. Writing assist is disabled? Then I should not be seeing this popup anywhere.

Battery percentage can be turned off but battery icon cannot, ie you cannot have battery presented to the user as text only. The legally distinct apple icon is very ugly and makes the text hard to read.

Do not disturb has a disturbing white circle in the top right at all times which defeats the purpose entirely for me. Some people need to be reminded that it's on. I don't.

Screenshot overlay button alignment has been arbitrarily changed. They really don't care how much muscle memory people have built up for certain actions like cropping a screenshot. The TAGS button still cannot be removed. The crop button is in the corner as if that isn't going to be the most used button. No good lock type control for this interface is very frustrating. I would literally only keep crop and share.

Cannot remove Smart View, Modes, Nearby Devices or Device Control toggles from the supposedly configurable second swipe on notification center. You can move them up and down. Except I have no use for this. It is cluttering up the interface for no reason. Let me hide the controls that I don't use. The software is not evolving in ways that represent a positive change to me and this is a prime example.

Swiping down twice on notifications does not show all configured controls. Third swipe down is required to show the rest of the controls. Yet they will force all the other aspects on screen that you may not use. For me it's literally just three more controls that take up a single row that they don't want to show me anymore.

App switcher could be more sensitive to left and right swipes. It was obviously too sensitive before. This needs a setting in good lock/task changer or otherwise.

Notification content text is too small. The title of notification is a little too small but the actual message content for the notification is extremely small.

Clock text is bold in the status bar. I don't know why. My font choice has not changed.

Where?  I woke up this morning to an unrecognizable phone. My menus were **bleep** up and I lost horizontal alphabetical app drawer. Hate the change to app drawer. Updates shouldn't require you reconfiguring your display and settings for hours.

Where do I submit feedback? I have had a Samsung phone for years back to early Notes. They should nottake away a feature like this.

Open app drawer. Click on the 3 dots on the search bar (bottom of screen now) click "sort" then "custom order" that will restore horizontal but won't do alphabetical. But something tells me you're an alphabetical kind of person....

For your first complaint here is what I suggest. Turn off live notifications, then set the notification pull down back to separate, you can select which side you want the quick settings menu to pull down on with the toggle below separate/together after changing to separate. You will have one pull on the preferred side to get to the media player.

If having separate swipe is not an option how about a widget for the media app you are using. I have a 1X4 widget for set up at the top of my home screen for Samsung Music, I have live notifications turned off, I have also turned on control music from the lock screen(Samsung Music app has this) which gives me a full size player while music is playing. Drawback when playing music is that it takes a second swipe to see the lock screen if you vies notifications on there, this of course is only when music is playing. Here is a screenshot of Samsung Music widget on my S24.

The battery icon is unappealing. I was on the Beta for One UI 7 and it was one of my complaints, a few of us complained about this and we also mentioned it was hard to read. The developers made it 10% or 20% larger, didn't do anything for the look though. Hopefully a change will be made for One UI 8.

Swiping down a third time on notification doesn't show all configured controls. Didn't know there was a 3rd page. I do notice if I add every single button to the control panel or whatever that is called then it requires a third pull down but does a person really need every single button on that list added to that box. I don't even use all of them. Maybe try adding the 6 most used ones on the notifications panel, remove those from that control box and then start removing the ones you are not going to use. That box can hold 8 before needing to be swiped down. I would start by removing everyone and then add what you actually are using. Take screen shot can be added to the Edge Panel, but not much else can be. If you feel the need for all of them in that box then you have to resort to an extra swipe to see them all.

It's funny so many people were clamoring for the update, then went out of their minds with the delay, now we're finding that many of those same people do not like One UI7. LOL SMH
