I created this to get some honest user reviews of the new UI.

Here is my experience

I woke up this morning with a message that the UI 7 update was ready.  After the update my phone opened to a bunch of disclaimer and authorization windows.  At first. I was worried that instead of a UI update I had downloaded some sort of popup virus.  It took a while to get through them all.

Once that was done and the phone finally opened and I found that everything changed.  All icons are different.  Some to the point of unrecognizable.  My weather app on my home screen is now a big blue square that's hard to read and ugly to look at.  Swiping has changed which makes it harder to navigate.

I am not pleased with the update at all.

With all that said, is there a way to fix this in setting?

First off, kudos to you for actually reading the messages that came with the update. Way too many people just blindly install things because their device tells them to.

Secondly, what exactly do you want to change? I didn't follow what you said about swiping.

I hate it. I think it tried to do an update or something a month prior but said it needed over 4gb available to do so. I must have freed up space on my phone because I woke up to a whole new look on my phone a different style, not functioning the same, and some of my apps not working or needing to be re set up and allowed permissions all over again (like my GPS which was frustrating when I opened Google maps to use it and it wasn't working properly). My apps are loading really slow now as well. I tried to see what's new and test out those features and didn't have any luck. I even googled how to and my phone just isn't doing it properly. I spent a few hours and had no luck. I got this phone a year ago and brought it back to the store within 30 days telling them showing them there's glitches and things functionality issues with the phone and I think it's defective and to swap out another of the same phone, or return it and I'll re buy another one and they refused and told me that even though one of the employees witnessed my phone acting up and not functioning properly or having glitches etc the store manager claimed he didn't see it and said there's nothing he can do and contact Verizon for a claim. My claim didn't qualify bc it wasn't physical damage and not a specific issue to file claim with and didnt happen all of the time but happened with multiple different parts of the phone. Ive been truly unhappy being stuck with this phone since day 1 and I bought it for the supposed bragged camera quality and functions. The camera and photos on this phone are awful and my previous phones had better. I don't understand the issue and issues but it's been wonky since I got it and some updates don't change anything and this one completely changed the phone and I can't figure out how to set certain things back to how they were (like notifications and lock screen, info that shows or doesn't and the icons at the top which no longer appear but if you swipe down on lock screen all the notifications show and anyone can see them. I'm so upset over this and multiple other issues with the phone and new update that are really messing up my daily usage of this phone.

Dear Samsung,

This new update to my Galaxy S23 FE, One UI 7.0  android version 15, is not an update to me. It reminds me of an Apple iPhone. And if I wanted the features and aggravation of an Apple iPhone, I would have one instead of a Samsung Galaxy. I do not like the new battery icon. I do not like how swiping down no longer shows my status bar notification and my quick panel together. I do not like that my app drawer is no longer in pages side to side but instead is a continuous scroll. I do not like that the search option is no longer at the top but instead was moved to the bottom of my app drawer. I do not like anything at all in this update. Whomever or the whomevers thought up  these ridiculous changes to the Galaxy phones obviously did not ask or take into consideration of the customers. And as a customer, there are plenty of other phone manufacturers options to go to for our next phone, in particular Apple iPhone since Samsung thinks that they want to mimic those phones.

You can change Quick Panel to Together, change app drawer from Alphabetical to Custom. Alphabetical is the vertical app drawer that people wanted, Custom is the traditional option
