One UI 7/ Android 15 Feedback and Feature Requests

Even if you could go back, you'd be running obsolete, no longer supported software with no security updates provided. This is an obvious fact that no one should have to tell you!

This version is really bad.

Samsung told me they were enhancing user experience.  Two things wrong with that:

1. They made my experience WORSE!!!

2. They didn't give me a choice to change my UI.  I understand security updates, but it is really bad they force UI changes on you when YOU DON"T WANT THEM!!!

Here are the changes they introduced that are really bad (trying to keep my language gentle):

1. It now takes 2 buttons to shut down the phone.  This is silly.  Not only 2 buttons, but you still have to click the second button to confirm.  What is Samsung trying to do, emulate iPhone?  REALLY?  The iPhone?

2. They changed the layout and the selection of the settings pull-down.  Now the settings and the notifications are 2 different pages with 2 different motions.  Again, what is Samsung trying to do, emulate iPhone?  REALLY?  The iPhone?

3. On the lock screen, I used to be able to see the time and date clearly.  Now I see:

  when I used to see:

  that makes no sense and is NOT intuitive!

  As a side note, the weather widget also does not display am/pm (and yes, it's in 12 hour mode).

4. The weather widget no longer agrees with the theme I've chosen.  I used to have a UI that was calm.  Now the weather widget is in BRIGHT NEON COLORS and is very displeasing.

Now let me talk about BUGS existing on the previous UI version:

1. When playing audio through my Buds2 Pro, I would have my phone in my pocket and locked.  After the last update (only), the audio would randomly just turn off.  I would have to touch my buds once to get it back on.  Annoying.

2. Similarly, when playing audio through the buds and doing something else with the phone, as soon as the screen would turn off and lock, the audio would turn off.  That's just a silly bug.  And if you made a call with the phone locked then ended the call, the phone would do something (turn off the screen?  don't know, it's in my pocket) and then turn off audio again.  Again, silly.

Finally (almost done ranting), Samsung DOES NOT give us a way to roll back the UI to a previous version.  IMO (and I have developed these kinds of products for decades, including UIs), updating the UI and updating the security need to be two different things.  Apple forces its users to use their products the way they want, and now Samsung is doing that too.  Emulating Apple?  REALLY?

I don't know what Google does with Pixel, or Motorola, but I'm going to have to seriously consider how Samsung acts in the future before my next upgrade.

The camera controls are the best part of Ui7, you shouldn't have to reach the top of rhe screen to change settings, causing you to lose that shot.

Just to change the brightness requires searching through pages.
Mobile Hotspot is a pain
If I wanted an iPhone I would have bought one, but I will be getting rid of my android just because of this update.
