I am very displeased with the update to the point where I am considering leaving Android for good. The battery indicator is much harder to see and read clearly. Battery function is worse. Going to the settings page is difficult. Searching for my own apps is more difficult. I hate how all the things I had opened now stack differently. I did not want the Gemini feature from thw power button. I should not have to learn my phone and how to operate it all over again, I have this phone because I was comfortable with it. If I have to learn it I might as well switch. Just once it would be nice to have choice rather than have it forced. Not cool. Is there anything that can be done? Seriously debating going to the store this weekend and leaving for good ti Apple. Don't want to, but this one was very updlsetting.

The only thing is that apple is clearly apple. One plus oxygen OS is an iOS dupe. Google pixel is the queen of gemini. Our choices are limited in the US.

Apple does the same thing, They adopted what were sole android functions into their devices as well. As far as Oxygen OS, it is very minimal and only a few instances have people noted some similarities between apple and One plus are a few animations, but not the UI which is far more like android. In fact one thing that is universally noted about One Plus's Oxygen OS, is that it is considered the closest to being stock android and very lean.

In the end, none of this copying and whatever really matters, what does is the functionality and performance for the money relative in cost between the devices. I personally think apple makes a fine phone, but my problem with apple is that it is very restricted to keeping all of its peripherals and add-ons to full functionality with their phones, only if they are also apple products. Otherwise, apple handicaps the full usage of their add-ons, where in Android that does not happen (as far as I know).

I have said this many time already; if I had my way, there are a few Chinese flagship phones that beat all of the US available devices, but the US blocks then becasue Apple and Samsung don't like competition here where they rule in the most profitable smartphones market in the world and US allows that.
