Official Downgrade Not Supported:

Samsung's official software updates are designed to be forward-compatible, not backward-compatible. They don't offer a way to downgrade to earlier One UI versions through their update system.

You are taking a great risk by using alternative methods to downgrade.

Okay, so before the update everyone was complaining they didn't have it. Now they're complaining about it. I admit, I was a little scared to do it but I went ahead with it. Its actually awesome!!! The overcharge protection feature is great. It really isn't that different than 6. It's just got extra features now. The new search bar location is very minor, but people are exponentially spoiled these days so they can't seem to just get over it. I still haven't even explored all the available features.

The update isn't extreme, it's not like when Microsoft went from XP to windows 7. (I still miss you, XP.) It's pretty similar to the old UI 6, it's just been upgraded. I haven't noticed much of any difference while using my phone. One thing I can say "customization options." That is the number 1 thing people have a problem with. I haven't even explored all the options on 7 yet, but I see that is people's main complaint. If I could recommend anything, it's that giving people the option to have everything right where it was on their old UI is very crucial.

I understand the reason for changing the settings with the new UI, because otherwise people wouldn't think to even look and change them. They wouldn't even know the changes were implemented, it would cause people to miss out on features if they didn't know they existed. We know that nobody reads anything these days, so the update notes are most likely skipped through with the quickness.

Also, I may recommend maybe a tutorial with changes, showing people exactly how to change the new settings back to the old ones. This would eliminate a lot of frustration for people who don't like new settings.

So yeah. I really like the update. Thank you, Samsung people!

I wanna add some of the upgrades I noticed,

-way better face recognition. It actually unlocks for me now whether I'm wearing a hat or not, or my glasses.
- I think the thumb scan has improved as well?
- better overcharge protection
- new charge and unlock sounds make it feel like a new phone
- you CAN change the swipe down menu back to the old style
- new AI drawing features
- real time translation is really neat
- side bar panel is the same
- AI photo edit stuff is more integrated (I still can't draw glasses on my face though. Please allow us to alter human faces Samsung, pretty please?) I can understand why they just completely disabled that though, there's some sick people out there.

I still even really looked through everything, but it's basically all the same, just upgraded. I wrote this up for people who are worried about updating if they're on the fence. It's nowhere near as bad as some people are making it out to be.

It is very extreme. Removed all permissions, settings, modes. Spent a week trying to get back into apps. Then new new update cant scroll left to right in apps, cant remove search, it removed my clock function and cant adjust the size correctly, added all kinds of bixby permissions, defaults me to Google drive when searching for photo attachments. And guess what? Can't adjust anything. They don't even know how to adjust the Google drive thing. Just told me to turn auto update. I haven't used the drive since 2018.
